The governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) at the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency in the Greater Accra Region on Thursday night held a vigil in memory of its former Member of Parliament, Emmanuel Kyeremanteng Agyarko.
Mr. Agyarko died late last year in the U.S after undergoing a corrective surgery.
Ahead of his burial on Saturday, 26 January 2019 in Odumase-Krobo in the Eastern region, his loved ones, family members, constituents and the rank and file of the NPP in the Ayawaso West Wuogon held a vigil in his honour.
A by-election to choose his successor has been slated for 31 January 2019.
His widow, Lydia Alhassan, is contesting the seat.
