Youth of Nkoranza have blocked major roads in the Bono East town as tension escalates following the death of 27-year-old Albert Donkor in police custody.
Tuesday’s action immediately followed a press conference by the Omanhene of Nkoranza.
The chiefs and people of Nkoranza in the Bono East Region are giving the IGP and, by extension, government 48 hours to find the killers of Albert Donkor, who is said to have died while in police custody.
They said failure to produce the killers will provoke days of protests in the town.
Togo reopens border with Ghana
Authorities in Togo have, on Tuesday, May 17, opened that country’s side of the border with Ghana.
This comes almost two months after Ghana’s authorities opened the country’s land borders after two years of closure due to Covid-19.
