Former Central Regional Minister Aquinas Tawiah Quansah, has launched his bid to become the next National Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
He will be contesting against former National Organiser Yaw Boateng Gyan who has also shown his interest to stage a comeback. The incumbent, Kofi Adams is yet to announce his decision to contest in the polls.
The party is gearing up for its internal elections to elect executives to steer affairs of the main opposition party for the next four years.
Speaking in an interview with Chief Jerry Forson, host of the Ghana Yensom show on Accra 100.5FM on Monday November 6, Mr Quansah said: “I am contesting to become the next National organiser of the NDC.
“As somebody who has gone through local elections my experience will be different, I have been a Member of Parliament for two terms and so I have the experience to lead the party as national organiser, I cut across all the sectors in the party and so with me organization will be smooth.
“Kofi Adams did what he could for the party in the 2016, he did well, I will not falut him for the defeat but at the end of the day Ghanaians thought we didn’t do it well and so they voted against us.”
