Central Regional Minister Kwamena Duncan has described the unity walk of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Central Region as a deception.
According to him, the NDC is deceiving its members across the country that the party is united for future elections whereas in reality, there are deep cracks within the main opposition party.
Mr Duncan made the comment when he spoke to Ghana Yensom on Accra 100.5FM on Monday, 6 November.
According to him, those who took part in the march had to be enticed with GHS50 and GHS100 before doing so.
“I am a Regional Minister and I have informants all around, I have my eyes all over the place, I have people even within the NDC who give me information from the party, and, so, I know what I am talking about.
“They bussed people from all over the Region to participate in the walk,” he insisted.
Meanwhile, Sampson Ahianyo, one of the organisers of the walk has dismissed the claim, saying the “participants were not paid a dime to take part in the walk.”
“Kwamena Duncan is a regional minister and so he should not be doing propaganda. It is never true we paid money to the people.”
