A group calling itself sympathizers of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has threatened to lock up the office of the District Chief Executive (DCE) of Ahafo Ano South if President Mahama does not relief him of his post.
According to the group, activities of Gabriel Barimah are hindering the chances of the NDC of winning the 2016 election in the constituency.
They have therefore given President John Mahama one week ultimatum to sack him or incur their wrath.
They have threatened to lock-up the DCE’s office if President Mahama refuses to adhere to their call.
In a related development, Jomoro DCE Sylvester Dadie who was asked by the president to hand over to the Western regional minister is said to have not heeded to the directive but goes to office every day.
An NDC Communication team member in the area, Prince Owusu has expressed concern about this saying that, it does not show respect to authority.
