The event, which would be held on the theme: ‘Building Successful Partnerships for Business Expansion,’ has signed on partners such as the Sekondi- Takoradi Chamber of Commerce and the regional chapter of the Association of Ghana Industries.
The Ghana SME Hub comprises a series of events organised for small, medium and enterprise (SME) business owners and managers to enable them engage with experts on best practices and solutions for managing various components of their business.
The main objective of the event is to promote the growth of the SME market and provide a platform for service providers to engage SME business owners and managers with solutions for managing their businesses effectively.
Activities lined up for the event include a two-day business exhibition and workshop at the Akroma Plaza.
Additionally, a ‘Hub truck,’ which would be positioned at various locations across Takoradi where professional and business advisory services would be provided to business owners and their managers through one-on-one sessions.
Speaking on the initiative, Mr Samuel Addo, General Manager for MTN Enterprise Business Unit said: ‘The SME sector in Ghana is poised for growth and we want to be pioneers in creating a platform to enhance that growth.’
‘The Ghana SME Hub is designed to be the vehicle for the transformation of SME operations in the country,’ he added.
On her part, Mrs Angela Ankomah-Boateng, General Manager of Business World Magazine commenting on the importance of the Ghana SME hub, said: ‘Most great companies started as SME’s and we are confident that businesses that fall in this category will help grow Ghana’s economy.’
The event follows the successful launch of the first edition in Kumasi earlier in the year.
