Ghanaian player Abdul Baba Rahman was replaced in the Chelsea squad by Branislav Ivanovic for the English Premier League clash with Arsenal on Saturday.
Baba Rahman made his debut for the Premier League Champions on Wednesday in the UEFA Champions League. The Ghanaian has not played a single minute of the English Premier League since transferring from Augsburg.
Chelsea boss, Jose Mouriho ahead of the game against Arsenal revealed the reason for Rahman’s absence claiming the Black Stars full-back is not yet cut for English top flight.
Jose Mourinho said:
“Branislav Ivanovic replaces Baba Rahman, who is not yet ready for the Premier League. Champions League is different football.”
Baba Rahman was not named on the bench for the game against Arsenal as he was completely left out of the match day squad.
