The number of Senior High Schools being built by President John Dramani Mahama around the country has disappointed the flagbearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, who will not have any message to Ghanaians ahead of this year’s elections, a deputy minister of Education (Tertiary), Mr Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has said.
President Mahama and Nana Akufo-Addo are touring the country simultaneously ahead of this year’s presidential and parliamentary elections.
On Thursday July 7, Mr Mahama began his tour of the Upper East region where he will be inaugurating projects undertaken by his government, including a 1,500-capacity state of the art Upper West Regional Library. Mr Akufo-Addo on the other hand, just ended his tour of the Eastern Region and is set to visit other regions.
Before visiting the Upper East region, Mr Mahama toured several parts of the country to inspect and inaugurate ongoing and completed projects.
Okudzeto Ablakwa said on twitter on Friday July 8 that: “Sorry to disappoint Nana Addo. Another Mahama SHS almost ready for commissioning in Lambussie in the Upper West.”
