AC Milan clinched their maiden Champions League win of the season by defeating Paris St-Germain in Group F.
The French forward Olivier Giroud secured the victory with a powerful header off Theo Hernandez’s cross just five minutes into the second half.
The match began with Milan Skriniar opening the scoring for PSG by heading in at the back post from a Marquinhos flick-on. Rafael Leao responded swiftly with an overhead kick from close range after Giroud’s initial shot was parried.
With this victory, PSG now sits in second place in the group with six points, just one point behind leaders Borussia Dortmund, who also triumphed against Newcastle on the same day. AC Milan is in third place with five points, one ahead of Eddie Howe’s side.
AC Milan’s win keeps them in contention for advancing to the knockout stages as they prepare to host Borussia Dortmund on November 28.
