Head coach of the national U-23 team of Ghana, Malik Jabir has lauded the play of his opponent in his side’s goalless draw game with Senegal last Sunday.
The Black Meteors who happen to be the defending champions after winning gold last four years failed to glitter in their opening day fixture in the men’s football against Senegal in the ongoing All Africa Games being staged in Congo Brazzaville.
Senegal came into the game with a well calculated game plan as their defensive strategy worked to perfection with Ghana dominating play from the blast of the whistle.
Despite Ghana’s dominance in the game, Malik Jabir head coach of Ghana has lauded the play pattern of the Senegalese team in his side’s stalemate.
“Senegal is a good team. As coach, it has been a long time since I saw them play. It was a discovery for me. I tried to learn more but this was not possible. I hope we will do better against Nigeria in our next game,” Malik Jabir said in a post match interview.
Ghana next game in the competition is against Nigeria on Wednesday.
