Former President John Mahama on Friday 14 July visited the widow of the late Major Maxwell Mahama and her children at the Burma Camp residence.
Mr Mahama shared a picture he took with Barbara Mahama and her children on Facebook.
“With my nephews & their mother, Barbara, during a visit to their Burma Camp home,” he posted on his wall.
Major Mahama was lynched by a group of people at Denkyira Obuasi in the Central Region where he was on official duty to combat illegal small-scale mining, popularly known as galamsey.
The angry mob mistook the soldier for an armed robber after a snail seller spotted a pistol on him when he was reaching for his pocket to pay for snails he had bought from her while jogging on Monday 29 May.
