The former Chief of Staff, Prosper Douglas Bani has been made the Minister Designate for Interior in President Mahama’s first reshuffle list for 2016.
Prosper Bani was relieved of his post in February 2015 and was replaced with Julius Debrah.
Meanwhile Fiifi Kwetey, Minister of Agriculture has been appointed as the Minister Designate for Transport to replace Dzifa Ativor who resigned from her position on December 23, 2015 over the controversial GHc3.6 million bus re-branding saga.
The Northern Regional Minister, Alhaji Mohammed Muniru Limuna also takes over as the new Minister for Food & Agriculture.
President John Dramani Mahama has also appointed Mr. Kenneth Wujangi, a Management and Integrated Rural Development Specialist as a Deputy Chief of Staff (Operations) at the Flagstaff House.
A statement signed by Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, also announced the nomination of the following as Ministers of State:
1. Edwin Nii Lante Vanderpuye (MP)- Minister Designate for Youth & Sports
2. John Alexander Ackon- Minister Designate for the Ashanti Region
3. Kweku Ricketts Hagan (MP)- Minister Designate for the Central Region
4. Mavis Ama Frimpong- Minister Designate for the Eastern Region
5. Abdallah Abubakari- Minister Designate for the Northern Region
6. Albert Abongo (MP)- Minister Designate for the Upper East Region
The following have also been nominated as Deputy Ministers of State:
1. Andy Appiah Kubi- Deputy Minister Designate for the Ashanti Region
2. Robert Baba Kuganab-Lem- Deputy Minister Designate for the Upper East Region
