A 42-year-old man, Ibrahim Musah, on Friday 15 June, 2017, allegedly stabbed his girlfriend in the neck with a broken piece of ceramic upon seeing another man in her room during a visit.
Musah believed the victim, Zara Hussein, a Diploma in Adult Education student and a resident of Akuafo Hall, was cheating on him and, therefore, stabbed her.
According to reports, Musah visited Zara on campus but on arrival met a gentleman in her room. This resulted in an altercation and in the heat of the argument, Musah walked out and returned with the shard to stab his girlfriend.
Musah, in an attempt to run after the act, was arrested by some students and sent to the Legon police station where he is being held.
The victim was rushed to the hospital and is receiving treatment.
