Investigative Journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, is expected to be cross examined later today before the Disciplinary Committee probing allegations of corruption against judges.
Lawyers for some 22 lower court judges caught on tape allegedly taking bribes are expected to have the first opportunity to question Anas.
Today’s hearing will set the tone for more encounters between Anas and implicated judges and judicial service staff allegedly involved in the bribery scandal.
Anas was invited on Tuesday September 15, 2015 but the Committee, set up by the Judicial Council, did not sit.
It is not clear why the committee did not sit that day.
However, sources say it was because of a suit against the committee, while others said it was because a key member of the committee was in Kumasi for the just ended Bar Conference.
Several of the judges have already dragged Anas and his Tiger Eye PI team to court seeking to stop a public showing of a documentary on the scandal on September 22 and 23.
Some of the accused Judges claim they were set up.
Meanwhile, the Attorney General is pressing charges against the 22 judges and magistrates who were indicted in the corruption scandal which has hit the judiciary.
The judges are part of a list of 34 members of the bench who were caught on camera allegedly taking bribes to throw away cases.
Twelve other high court judges are being probed by the five-member body set up by the Chief Justice, Georgina Wood.
