Revellers at this year’s Kwahu Easter should take their personal security seriously and avoid immoral conduct, Eastern Regional Minister Eric Kwakye Darfour has urged.
He said unscrupulous persons often take advantage of such festivities to commit crime and, therefore, there was the need for people partaking in this year’s Easter on the Kwahu ridge to be wary of criminals to avoid falling prey to their activities.
“There are pickpockets as well as mobile phone and wrist watch snatchers. Security arrangements always begin at a personal level; people have to be watchful. Further, people should display good moral conduct and show respect to police officers who will be directing us in order to avoid confrontation,” Mr Darfour noted.
“I believe if we do that and take good care of ourselves, nothing bad will befall us during this period of Easter.”
Mr Darfour also admonished drivers to be “alert” and avoid careless driving and to not take advantage of the Easter to rip passengers off.
