Some soldiers at the Uadarra Barracks at Adum, Kumasi, in the Ashanti Region on Monday night assaulted a uniformed policeman for using the road at the barracks to the regional police command.
Class News’ Owoahene Addai Mununkum reported that the soldiers resorted to beating up the policeman after he refused to heed their warning not to use the route.
Investigations are underway to ascertain the reason for the assault.
Meanwhile, the victim is receiving treatment at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
This news comes in the wake of a lynching of an army Captain, now posthumously army Major, Maxwell Mahama at Denkyira Obuasi in the Central Region.
