The Kumasi Metro Mass Transit Depot Manager Mr Agyenim Boateng has resigned.
Mr Agyenim Boateng’s appointment was coincidental and parallel to the appointment of one Nicholas Oduro from the Manhyia North Constituency of the governing New Patriotic Party, thus leading to chaos between their supporters.
There were repetitive clamours for his removal.
Mr Agyenim Boateng who doubles as the acting Ashanti Regional Organiser of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) told Adehyee FM’s Obaa Adwoa Nelson Aweh on Tuesday, 24 October 2017 in an interview that the NPP is becoming unpopular in the region due to the MMT chaos.
“The Ashanti Regional NPP chairman Bernard Antwi Boasiako popularly known as Chairman Wuntumi who was solidly behind me later turned his back on me and said the position should be given to Nicholas Oduro,” Agyenim Boateng revealed.
He has, therefore, withdrawn his appointment to free himself from daily conflicts at MMT.
Mr Agyenim Boateng also revealed that he will be working with GIHO Manager Maxwell Kofi Jumah as a branch manager in Greater Accra.
