The Ghana-China relation has brought extreme benefits to the West African country, Dr Charles Dwamena, Deputy Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China, has said.
According to him, companies in China, including the Sky Team, have arrived in the country to set up sugar processing and gas cylinder manufacturing factories in Sogakofe and Kumasi respectively.
This, he said, would create more jobs for the teeming youth in these areas and the country in general.
He told Chief Jerry Forson, host of Ghana Yensom on Accra 100.5FM on Thursday, October 12 that: “These Chinese companies are bringing into the country, one of the very best technologies we have in the world.
“Apart from the sugar factory in Sogakofe and the gas cylinder factory in Kumasi, we are also expecting that more production factories will come to Ghana as a result of the Ghana-China relations.”
Mayor of Kumasi, Osei Assibey, also told show host Forson on the same programme that: “Land has been released for the factory in Kumasi. Any assistance that the Assembly needs to provide, we will do that. We will patronise their products to ensure that they make profit.”
