Reports gathered by Allsports.com.gh indicate that talks between Kumasi Asante Kotoko and the Dannish coach Tommy Moller Nielson is well advanced and that the coach is already in the country to be appointed as the technical director of the club.
Asante Kotoko finished 6th on the league log, after the end of the 2014-15 season’s Ghana Premier League, amidst an inconsistent performance throughout the season and also placed 2 in the MTN FA Cup, losing the final 2-1 to Medeama sc at Essipong Sports Stadium.

In March 2014 Tommy Moller Nielson was in Ghana to hold talks with Hearts of Oak to be named as technical, but they couldn’t reach an agreement.
David Duncan the head coach of Kotoko is known not to prefer working with a technical director in his previous jobs and even resigned after a good start when he was the coach of Free State Stars, following the appointment of a technical director for the club.
The former Ashanti Gold and Hearts of Oak coach succeeded Mas-ud Didi Dramani in March 2015.
Meanwhile, other reports indicate that Opoku Nti, the General Manager of Asante Kotoko is likely to be replaced by the powers that be.
