Asante Kotoko Communication Director Obed Acheampong has disclosed the club is aiming to pick a maximum of 45 points in their home matches in the 2016/17 Ghana Premier League, meaning the club has set its sights on winning all its home games for the season.
The record Premier League champions seem to be on course with the operation as they have recorded straight wins in all four matches played at home in the season so far with their only defeat being away to arch rivals Hearts of Oak in match week 8.
Mr Acheampong, in an interview with Class Sports, noted that the team remains on course to turn the Baba Yara Stadium into a fortress as they aim to register their first league title in three years.
“We started the season targeting 11 points after five games but we gained 13 points instead, which is a better tally than we had in the 2015/16 season… We won’t negotiate dropping points at home, no way. This season we are getting all the 45 points at Baba Yara,” he stated.
Kotoko will host Inter Allies at home when the league returns from the international football break next week.
