Ghana’s ex-president John Dramani Mahama is “praying for a successful and peaceful election” in Kenya.
Ahead of the 8 August election, Mr Mahama, who is leading a 15-member Commonwealth Observer Group to monitor and provide assessment on the election, has expressed confidence that the election will be free and fair.
On Tuesday, 1 August, Mr Mahama said he held an “insightful session with 14 other colleagues and our technical staff” and they are all “poised for some busy days” in the build-up to poll.
This will be the fifth election in the East African country since 1991 when it ended its one-party state rule.
