A renowned Economist Kwame Pianim has described the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta as the worst Finance Minister to manage Ghana’s economy
Speaking in an interview, the statesman averred that Finance Minister has mismanaged the country’s economy given the enormous amounts of monies he has borrowed as the Finance Minister.
He says the Finance Minister has not done any good job, however, he has over-borrowed and the economy is not getting value for money.
He further explained that the Finance Minister needs to realize that he is not just a budget and expenditure Minister, but he is Minister for Finance and Finance means growing the economy.
The economist Kwame Pianim’s submission described the finance minister’s notion of closing banks as just a lazy job.
He says after closing the banks and nothing has been added or no value of money has been added to the economy but rather, the economy is still sinking.
He says Ghana as a country is in a ditch because the Finance Minister has refused to listen to advice and now making the country suffer.
Economist Kwame Pianimresponding to the allegations by the government that the struggles and hardship of the economy is because of the Ukraine and Russia war says Ghana was sacked from the Eurobond before the Russia-Ukraine war.
He added that the Finance Minister refused to manage things at the right way and it is the reason Ghanaians are suffering now.
