Many traders have taken advantage of the recent resurgence of the Kalyppo fruit juice to make some money by mounting several stalls at the International Trade Fair Centre, venue of the NPP manifesto launch on Sunday, October 9, 2016.
A picture of the flag bearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) sipping Kalyppo fruit juice sparked a trend on social media.
Numerous NPP supporters started taking selfies sipping a box of the product which they posted onto their social media walls.
This has caught up with many people, creating a trend where individuals buy the product and splash photos of themselves sipping the juice on various social media platforms, mainly Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Anticipating a spike in the demand for the product, a lot of traders have made the product readily available at the launch.
One of the traders, Maame Esi, told Class FM she knew many NPP members were “now interested in Kalyppo because of Nana Addo”.
