Just a few weeks after being named as part of the Forbes 30 Under 30 Most Promising Young Entrepreneurs in Africa, Ghana’s John Armah has again been named as part of the 30 Under 30 “Most Inspirational Youth” in Africa by Youth Village South Africa, a global youth development organisation focused on access to better development information to Youth in Africa and based in four African Countries, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Nigeria and Uganda.
Mr John Armah, at age 24 is CEO of the Orios Group in Ghana, a holding company with three subsidiaries focused on growth capital to Startups, Agribusiness and Business Advisory and Development Services in Ghana.
Mr Armah is an award-winning Entrepreneur and Business Strategist with a passion for startups development and growth in Africa. He has been named as part of Forbes 30 Under 30 Most Promising Young Entrepreneurs in Africa (2016), 20 Under 40 Most Influential Business Leaders in Ghana by award-winning Business World Magazine (2015). He has also been voted the 12th Most Influential Young Ghanaian (2016) and also ranked as the 27th Most Influential Ghanaian by ETV Ghana (2012).
He is the Recipient of the Global Young CEO’s Award for Entrepreneurship Development in Africa at the Young CEO’s Business Summit (2015), Recipient of the National Union of Ghana Students Vice Chancellor Young Achievers Award for Entrepreneurship Development (2015), named as part of JCI 10 Outstanding Young Persons Award in Ghana (2015), and also Winner of the 2012 Ideas Award by Legacy and Legacy (2012).
Mr Armah has addressed numerous international events as a speaker on Entrepreneurship Development and Youth Policy related issues and addressed the World Economic Forum on Public Private Partnerships, Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Africa Innovate Forum, The World Bank Unemployment Forum in Abuja, the Annual Africa for Results and Annual Meeting of the African Community of Practice for Managing for Development Results in Harare, Zimbabwe, Commonwealth meeting on National Youth Policies by Ministers of Youth and Sports in the ASEAN region in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, Panelist, Mastercard Foundation/Youth Save Financial Inclusion Forum, Young CEO’S BUSINESS SUMMIT among others and facilitated a number of key youth programs between Youth and Government, Development Partners among other events in Abidjan, Tunisia, Kigali, and a number of other countries.
This year’s list identifies young Africans, mostly below 30 years of age, who are doing remarkable work in their countries to facilitate development in the lives of people in their communities and throughout the continent.
