Former President John Dramani Mahama has denied media reports he paid a visit to some of the victims of the Kintampo Waterfall tragedy that occurred on Sunday, killing 18 people.
There were media reports accompanied with some pictures of the former president purportedly interacting with some patients on hospital beds. The reports further indicated that those he was interacting with were victims of the accident.
However, Mr Mahama has said inasmuch as he is touched by the plight of those involved in the gory accident, he has not paid them a visit yet.
He clarified that the pictures being circulated were those taken last year when he visited accident victims in Kintampo as president.
He tweeted on Tuesday 21 March: “Thanks for the messages, but I wasn’t in Kintampo yesterday. Photos are from my visit to Metro Mass accident victims when I was President.”
