Former President John Dramani Mahama has denied constituting a team to undertake a survey after the Kwesi Botchwey Committee submitted its report on why the National Democratic Congress (NDC) lost the 2016 elections.
The Kwesi Botchwey committee was set up by the NDC to look into the reasons for the party’s defeat. The committee has completed its work and presented its findings to the party.
However, the office of former President Mahama said it had received reports across the country of activities of some members of the party seeking to solicit information from executives and members of the NDC, claiming that they are being sponsored by his office.
In a statement signed by Mr Mahama’s Special Aide, Joyce Bawah Mogtari, the former president said his office has not commissioned any group or team to undertake any such exercise.
The office has, therefore, cautioned people who are impersonating and misinforming members of the party to desist from the act.
