Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs forward Nicholas Gyan has conceded he is under pressure to hold onto his top scorer status in the ongoing league season.
The forward leads the scoring pack for the 2016/17 Ghana Premier League chart with six goals from eight matches.
Gyan noted that he remained focused on scoring more goals, although the pressure from competition has got him worried.
“Currently I’m the goal king, and like in athletics, if you lead the race the rest are catching up and that exerts pressure on you to hold onto the lead,” he told Class Sports, adding: “So I concede I’m under immense pressure but I remain focused on finding the back of the net in any game though every opposition is difficult in their respective way.”
Gyan is expected to feature when Dwarfs face Great Olympics on Sunday, April 2 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
