Ghanaian Gospel musician, Joyce Blessing, has said that she will only feature record-label mates Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy if the two agree to sing gospel.
According to her, she does not see herself working with the two dancehall artistes on a secular song.
In an interview on Accra FM Entertainment News with Nana Ansah Sasraku on Wednesday, February 7, the ‘Mensei Da’ singer indicated that: “Anyone who wants to join me to sing gospel is welcome but I will not leave gospel music to join anyone to sing secular songs. I am a gospel musician not a secular artiste, so, how can I leave my work to join them”.
“If Stonebwoy comes to perform and Shatta comes to perform and Joyce follows with every performer portraying Jesus Christ to a gathering there is nothing wrong with that…We have to take the gospel music across but if we don’t sing gospel how would people appreciate gospel”.
Zylofon Media recently signed a lucrative contract with Shatta Wale to join its record label. Stonebwoy, Kumi Guitar, Becca, Joyce Blessing, Obibini and other entertainers had earlier penned contracts with Zylofon.
Zylofon Media has set the objective to revolutionize the entertainment industry in Ghana with various interventions to help the creative arts sector.
