Assin Central MP Kennedy Agyapong has vowed to commit suicide if former President John Mahama’s brother, Ibrahim, is not jailed by the Akufo-Addo government for some alleged corrupt activities which, according to him, hsd led to the state losing money.
The NPP legislator said he will drink poison if that does not happen.
“He [Ibrahim] should watch and hear me well; I will take in poison and die if Ibrahim is not jailed…,” Mr Agyapong said on Adom TV’s Badwam on Thursday, 30 March.
Mr Agyapong said he has documented evidence which point to wrongdoing on the part of the former President’s brother.
There is no love lost between Mr Agyapong, a businessman and major financier of the governing New Patriotic Party and Mr Mahama, also a businessman.
Mr Agyapong has constantly accused Mr Ibrahim of taking advantage of his brother’s presidency during the Mahama administration.
NDC MP for Juaboso, Kwabena Minta Akandoh who represented the opposition NDC on the same programme Mr Agyapong’s allegations were a diversionary tactic.
