Multiple award-winning artiste, Shatta Wale, has revealed in a new interview on The Delay Show that he took Samini’s girlfriend. Shatta Wale, who now wants to be known as ‘Dancehall Champion’ said he had no regrets of statements and comments he made in the earlier interview granted by Deloris Frimpong Manso last week. “I’m the type of boy who, whatever I say, is the truth…so I don’t really fear.” Shatta Wale further said he had no regrets whatsoever over what he said. “There’s no way I’ll regret when I know where I’m sitting at a particular time, because I believe this is part of my work, and I believe people want to know how serious I am with my work, so I don’t think there’s any regrets,” he insisted. The Dancehall Champion threw jabs at some artistes including VVIP, Ex-Doe, Criss Waddle, and Samini, calling the latter childish. In the second part of the interview, Shatta Wale fueled his beef with Samini. Reacting to an observation by Delay that Samini never mentions “Shatta Wale”, but instead says “Bandana” or “Mr. Mensah” or “Handkerchief”, Wale said Samini has a reason for not being able to mention his brand name ‘Shatta Wale’. “Oh…maybe if he mentions my name three times, he’ll lose his voice…” Shatta said, mimicking a terrible voice. He further added that he (Shatta Wale) is real, and therefore not scared. “I’m a guy that…nothing scares me, do you understand? And I don’t like people to put fear into me because I grew up with that boldness from my family,” Shatta Wale stated.
During the interview, Shatta boldly stated that he gets inside scoops about Samini, and hence the reason he is bold to say that things about him. “But I have dated his (Samini’s) girl before…I dated his ex girlfriend. Not even his ex…he was with her and I crossed and took her, and that’s why I dropped ‘Megye Wo Girl’” the ‘Chop Kiss’ crooner revealed. He further said “You know, I have a whole lot of people who come to me and they see me like ‘Oh Shatta, you are real.’ I meet people and they disclose things to me…so I got this girl who was like ‘Do you know I’ve been…do you know I’ve been giving him…’”…meaning the girl revealed a lot of secrets about Samini to him. He then added that he did not go in for Samini’s girl, but she rather came to him. Asked when Samini is aware of this, Shatta said he is not, because it was the first time he was talking about it. “He doesn’t know…I’m only disclosing it today, so if he’s listening, he should know that I’m a champion. I’m no more a Dancehall King, I’m a champion,” Shatta said. This interview will be aired on The Delay Show at 5pm today (Friday) on Viasat1.
