Ghanaian songstress and model, Deborah Vanessa Owusu Bonsu, known in showbiz as Sister Derbie, has disclosed that she ditched hip-hop artiste Medikal because she heard rumours that he was having amorous relationships with other women.
In an interview with Nana Romeo on Ayekoo Ayekoo on Accra100.5FM on 21 March 2019, the ‘Kakalika Love’ hitmaker said: “If someone had told me that we will separate in the middle of 2018, I would have believed that because there were rumours of cheating. There were rumours; I’m not saying yes or no but there were rumours.”
She continued: “So, basically, we were not to be talking about it but when I found out what I found out, I just left; that’s it. I know people think otherwise but I just left because I don’t see why I should fight for someone who is proving to me otherwise, there’s no point, there’s no reason”.
The two went their separate ways in 2018 and Medikal went ahead to start a relationship with actress Fella Makafui.
