The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) nominee for Savelugu/Nanton, Hajia Ayishetu Seidu, was on Saturday May 13 confirmed by the municipal assembly after obtaining 50 votes in her favour.
Out of a total of 64 voters, only 14 voted against her nomination, giving her 78% of total votes to confirm her appointment as MCE.
Meanwhile, Hajia Seidu has said that “it is an honour and great responsibility bestowed on her”. She thanked President Nana Akufo-Addo for nominating her and promised to work tirelessly to ensure the development of the municipality.
