Excessive sex by players in the Ghana Premier League is affecting their stamina, making it difficult for them to complete the duration of a regular football match, Asante Kotoko Technical Director Malik Jabir has lamented.
Mr Jabir expressed worry over the situation saying “a lot of today’s players cannot play 90 minutes because they get so tired easily.” “And you know why? Because they do not sleep enough and do not train enough and they engage in too much sex.”
Even though he admitted that “beautiful young girls in Ghana” are easily attracted to footballers, he cautioned players to strike a balance between their career and engaging in sexual escapades.
For him, the failure of current footballers to manage their personal lives effectively will result in failure in reaching the pinnacle of their football career.
“There is time for that [sex] and there is time for football. If you mix the two, you cannot reach the top,” he told Ultimate FM in an interview recently.
