The 2016/17 Ghana Premier League enters match week eight and top of the fixture pile is the super clash between the nation’s two most successful clubs, Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak.
Kotoko go into the game in superior form and will hope to get another one over their arch rivals who they picked four points off in the 2015/16 season. The Porcupine Warriors have won five games to Hearts’ two in the last 13 Premier League meetings between the two.
Aduana Stars will look to get back to winning ways when they travel to Cape Coast to face Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs who are unbeaten at home this season.
Ashgold got back to winning ways with a slim 1-0 win over Liberty Professionals and will hopefully look to follow that up when they travel to face debutants Elmina Sharks, who have lost one of their last three home games.
Free-scoring Bechem United were held goalless at home to Elmina Sharks and Coach Vincenzo Alberto will hope his men, led by top scorer Ahmed Toure, find their scoring boots against Bolga All Stars who have been unimpressive in their three home games.
Medeama managed a goalless draw against Aduana Stars and, back at the T&A park, coach Evans Adotey’s side will seek to record just their second win of the season over Accra Great Olympics, a team yet to win a match this season.
Inter Allies will host Tema Youth, WAFA will welcome Berekum Chelsea, and Liberty, from a disappointing defeat, play defending champions Wa All Stars.
