Two people have been killed in a car crash at Gomoa Akoti in the Central Region.
The two deceased male and female were among 15 passengers travelling from Senya Bereku to Accra after the Akomase Festival held at the weekend.
Class FM’s regional correspond Raymond Kwofie reported on Wednesday that a Sprinter Benz bus with registration number DS 2833-12 had a head on collision with a Tipper truck with registration number GS 9475-14 as the driver of the Benz bus tried overtake some cars ahead of him.
Nine victims were left in critical condition but are responding to treatment at the Winneba Trauma and Specialist hospital. They are made up of one female and eight males all between 30 and 35 years.
Others who sustained minor injuries were treated at the Kasoa Polyclinic and discharged while the corpses of the deceased have been deposited at the Winneba municipal hospital.
