The Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) is offering limited scholarships, through the GNPC Foundation, to Ghanaian students for the 2017/18 academic year.
The scholarships, according to a statement from the state oil company, are for degree courses and are tenable at accredited public tertiary institutions in Ghana i.e. Universities, Technical Universities and Polytechnics.
The scholarships cover tuition, living expenses, book allowance and dissertation/project allowance.
GENERAL ELIGIBILITY
Applicant must:
1. Be Ghanaian,
2. Have obtained admission to undertake an Undergraduate, Masters or PhD degree programme in a Ghanaian Public University at the time of application
PREFERENCE
Preference would be given to:
Undergraduates:
1. Degree programmes in Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (STEM); Environment, Health &Sanitation, Special Education and Agricultural Sciences
2. Women in Engineering
3. Brilliant but needy students
4. Physically Challenged
Masters/PhD:
1. Oil and Gas related courses
2. Science, Technology and Engineering
3. Special Education
MODE OF APPLICATION
Fill the local scholarship application form provided on the GNPC website and submit a scanned copy with your Admissions letter from the school, contact number and e-mail address to LOCALSCHOLARSHIPS@GNPCGHANA.COM
You may also submit a hard copy of the filled application with relevant documents to any of the GNPC offices in;
Tema – Petroleum House
Accra – GNPC Training Centre (GTC)
Takoradi – Baker Hughes Building
DEADLINE
Applications should be submitted by close of business on 15th September 2017.
