The Ghana Liquefied Petroleum Gas Operators Association (GLiPGOA) has withdrawn from the committee in charge of the Cylinder Re-circulating policy implementation.
According to the group, their wihtdrawal follows the persistent disregard of issues they have raised over the policy.
A statement signed by Torgbi Adaklu V, President of GLiPGOA said: “Following a meeting of the National Executive Council of the Ghana Liquefied Petroleum Gas Operators Association (GLiPGOA) on the 14th of February, 2018, it has been resolved that the Association should, with immediate effect, withdraw its participation in the ongoing consultative processes of the Cylinder Re-circulating Policy Implementation Committee.
“This has become necessary as a result of the persistent disregard of the issues and concerns often expressed by the representative of GLiPGOA on the Policy Implementation Committee meetings.
“We however wish to reiterate our call to the authorities to tread cautiously in the haste with which the policy processes are being conducted. Please accept our highest regards and assurances.”
