The Government of Ghana has released an amount of GHS129,207,05 for the payment of caterers under the National School Feeding programme for the third term, Dr. Kwame Adu-Nsia, the National Coordinator of the programme, has said.
According to him, out of the 7,700 caterers under the programme, 129 of them are yet to be paid owing to challenges associated with their eZwich accounts.
Dr. Adu-Nsia told Kwabena Prah Jnr. (The Don), host of Ghana Yensom on Accra100.5FM on Monday, 29 October 2018 that the caterers yet to be paid are expected to submit their correct eZwich details by Wednesday, 31 October, to enable them to be paid.
“Almost all the caterers have received their payments for the third term. There are only a few of them who haven’t received theirs because of problems with the numbers of their eZwich accounts,” he said.
He added: “Those who are yet to be paid are 129 out of 7,700, so, they are just a handful.”
