President John Dramani Mahama should resign his post because Ghanaians have rejected him for his poor management of the country, Founder and Leader of Glorious Word Ministry International, Rev Isaac Owusu Bempah, has said.
Speaking on Ghana Yensom on Accra100.5FM on Thursday September 22, the controversial preacher, who prophesied victory earlier in the year for opposition leader Nana Akufo-Addo in the December polls, reiterated that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and Mr Mahama would lose the elections.
According to him, Ghanaians were suffering and needed change.
“Ghanaians are suffering. I am a man of God, I travel a lot and interact with a lot of people, businesses are collapsing, I pay GHS 4,800 as electricity bill but my house is not a factory. Nobody in Ghana can say life is easy except a few people who are squandering state money,” he told show host Chief Jerry Forson.
Parrying perceptions that he may have been bought by the NPP to speak against the Mahama administration and the NDC, Rev Owusu Bempah said: “Nobody can bribe me Owusu Bempah to shut up in these difficult times. Before God and man the governance of the country is bad. President John Mahama cannot govern Ghana; if I were him, I would have resigned because Ghanaians have rejected him. He should understand and abdicate the presidency because whether he likes it or not he will lose in the December polls.”
Rev Owusu Bempah added: “When I hear the NDC say they will win the election, I laugh. I prophesied their victory in previous elections but this time the Lord has said victory belongs to Nana Akufo-Addo and the NPP. If the NPP also comes to power and mismanages the economy, I will criticise them. If the PPP or the CPP comes to power and do same, I will criticise them. Ghanaians are suffering…”
Rev Owusu Bempah has also said that his life is in danger for speaking against the government.
