Plans are far advanced for Ghana to fully participate in the 2015 Special Olympics to be held between July 21and 24 in Los Angeles.
Ghana will participate in football, field and track events.
A total of 28 athletes, eight coaches and six staff memebers will make up the Ghana team. Each of the athletes would be accompanied by two family members who will cater for them at the team’s village during the competition.
Already, Special Olympics Ghana has organised regional competitions to select the athletes who would represent Ghana.
Special Olympics is a global movement that unleashes the human spirit through the transformative power and joy of sports.
