Joy Sports understands that fixtures for the new Ghana Premier League season will be released on Wednesday.
After a meeting on Tuesday, where all sixteen representatives from the clubs were given the fixtures, officials of the Premier League Board agreed with other stakeholders that the last day of the season will be August 28.
In an ambitious move, the GPL will run for only six months, showing how determined the football authorities are to sync the following calendar years with the makor European leagues.
SUPER CUP SET
The annual FA Super Cup betwen Premier League Champions and winners of the FA Cup has been scheduled for Sunday February 7, 2016, an official FA statement on its website has said.
League winners Ashantigold will lock horns with FA Cup winners, Medeama at the Accra Sports Stadium in the season-opening encounter.
The match will precede the commencement of the 2015/2016 Football Season, which kicks off on February 20. The FA has also already stated that both the Premier and Division One Leagues will commence on the same date.
