Ghana began preparations on Tuesday in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Kenya.
Sixteen players, including acting captain Thomas Teye Partey, goalkeepers Richard Ofori and Lawrence Ati-zigi, as well as Nana Opoku Ampomah were present.
Yet to report to camp are Harrison Afful, Ebenezer Ofori and Inter Milan midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah, who returned to the team after a four-year absence.
Fifa / Caf Liaison Team’s communication director Dan Kwaku Yeboah is expecting a full house on Wednesday.
“The situation isn’t that serious because every player will be available on Wednesday,” Yeboah told Goal.
“There were injury concerns earlier but the coaches have communicated with those we’re expecting so there will certainly be a full house on Wednesday. There will be two training sessions on Wednesday and one on Thursday before we depart Ethiopia for Kenya.
“We’re very hopeful of a favourable scoreline on Saturday so that we can qualify from the group with ease,” he added.
The game will be played at Moi International Sports Centre in Nairobi on Saturday.
Ghana are leaders of Group F with three points after crushing Ethiopia 5-0 on opening day, while Kenya are in search of their first point following a 2-1 defeat to Sierra Leone.
