The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has announced it has extended its Credit Facility programme with the government of Ghana.
This comes after the successful fourth review of the Extended Credit Facility by the IMF board. The board approved a $94million disbursement under the program extension.
Ghana’s agreement with the IMF for economic assistance in 2015 was expected to end in 2018.
The latest development however is a departure from government’s initial stance of not extending the programme after it had expired.
