GCB Bank Ltd in partnership with StarLife Assurance launched Bancassurance and unveiled three products for the benefit of its customers and the general public. They are HomeCall Plan, the Child Education and WealthMaster Plans.
GCB Bank and StarLife have been in collaboration since 2007, with the aim of promoting solid life for customers and a strong financial backbone through savings and insurance products.
Speaking on behalf of the Managing Director of GCB, Mrs. Doris Wunu (Head of Consumer Banking) said, GCB is well placed to provide such need-based solutions and thus, through wealth creation for customers. Due to GCB’s network of 161 branches, these products will be made available to a broad section of customers and the public.
In her address, the Chief Executive of StarLife Assurance, Mrs. Kakra Duffuor Nyarko, emphasized the business advantage the GCB and StarLife collaboration has for prospective Bancassurance clients.
“As a leading Life insurance company offering a wide range of need based life solutions, and not just products, StarLife has over the years delivered value-added services to its cherished clients, making it one of the preferred Life Insurance companies in Ghana,” she stated.
The HomeCall Plan which started started years ago aims at insuring spouses, parents, children and parent in-law till death. This Plan can also boast of over 29,500 account holders and 46,905 dependents since inception.
The great success of the HomeCall Plan called for the Child Education Plan and the WealthMaster Plan which was introduced in April 2017.
The Child Education Plan is an educational investment plan that serves as a sure way for Bancassurance customers to afford their ward’s educational needs for a better brighter future in terms of higher education.
WealthMaster Plan is an endowment and investment plan that secures bancassurance customers future finances, by making provision for their medium to long term aspirations such as a house, car or business capital.
“With GCB’s slogan being your Bank for life our Bank is prepared to see customers through their life development”, Mrs. Wunu added.
