Mubarak Yakubu is a radio producer for a popular Accra-based radio station, Angel FM/Angel TV and has been nominated for the Best National Radio Producer at the 2021/2022 Foklex Media Awards.
The respected Radio Producer who has about 10 years’ experience in Radio and TV production faces tough competition from his fellow producers including Mercy Bee (Happy FM), Power FM (Dan Lartey), Harglah (Hitz FM), Sharon Onella (Class FM), Kwame Kwakye (Accra FM), and Godwin Dogbey (Okay FM).
Mubarak Yakubu popularly known on radio as Yaaaaaaakubuu has worked with Multimedia for the past 8years before moving to Angel Broadcasting Network in 2021.
He was the main producer for the Entertainment show on Adom FM, Adom Entertainment Hall and a producer of Adom News as well.
Mubarak Yakubu is a producer who produces all kinds of shows during his days at Multimedia before moving to Angel FM/Angel TV, Accra.
Yakubu who is also a News Producer moved to Angel Broadcasting Network as a News Producer, Entertainment producer and also produces Gospel show on Angel FM.
Yakubu after been nominated as the National Producer said he is overjoyed for being recognized as one of the best radio producers in the country and remains hopeful of taking the prestigious award.
According to Yakubu “I think the competition is a very tough one but I know and believe that I’m going to win this one”
“I have come from far and it has not been easy, being a producer isn’t an easy task, I’m even happy for being nominated. It tells you that people are seeing your good work. I’m very happy and excited”.
