Head Coach of Asante Kotoko, Paa Kwesi Fabin has heaped praises on his players after their display against (West African Football Academy) WAFA.
Mohammed Aminu opened the scoring for the home side with an early free kick in the 3rd minute.
The Porcupine Warriors, however, equalised through Yakubu Mohammed in the 18th minute.
Both sides were aiming for the maximum points, but the home side would be more disappointed for not grabbing the maximum points, considering that it was their opening home game.
But the former Hearts of Oak trainer says he was impressed with the performance of his players.
“It was a very good game. WAFA still have a very good team despite losing the key ones after last season, they played well and we also gave them a good fight. Even though we drew we are happy with the result, we’ll go back and work harder to win our subsequent games,” he told Class Sports.
“Fortunately for me I’ve not lost a game here before. I led inter Allies to draw here and also Berekum Arsenal, so when I was coming here I was very confident we’re going to take the three points. Our attack was a little bit slow and that cost us the win.”
The Porcupine Warriors will take on Inter Allies in the next fixture at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday.
