Black Stars skipper Asamoah Gyan has told fans of the national team to anticipate a very good response from the team in the second leg of their 2018 World Cup qualifiers against Comoros. Ghana drew goalless in Moroni on Friday and they need to beat the visitors in Kumasi on Tuesday to get into the final round of the qualifying for the next World Cup in Russia. Gyan, who played the final 8 minutes of the first leg due to an injury, says he and his team-mates will put up a better showing in Kumasi against the Comoros. “Ghanaians should expect a good outing from us on Tuesday. We are playing to get a result and qualify but first of all, we want to make the fans so we need to put up a good showing because we did not play how we wanted to in Comoros. We know how the first leg went for us so we will work hard to turn things around in the second leg.” Gyan said true to pre-match research, Comoros showed great discipline and commitment and that was why Ghana failed to find the net in the first leg. “I know we were expected to win but they were good defensively. We saw the videos and noticed that they were solid with their backline. Their game plan made it difficult for us and we got a draw there. It really did not matter what kind of experience they had or did not have or whether or not their players featured in the top leagues or not. They were simply more more compact and everyone was behind the ball. They relied on the counter attack and that helped them because they knew the dangers of opening up against us.” The Black Stars are scheduled to arrive in Kumasi on Sunday for the second leg which will be played on Tuesday.
