Two members of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Lower West Akyem constituency of the Eastern Region, Kofi Yesu and Taliu Gonja, have died in a motor accident that occurred on Sunday at about 10pm.
The crash, according to Rahman, an eyewitness, happened at Topase, near the Methodist Primary School, along the Asamankese-Akwatia road. They were returning from a funeral when the vehicle they were travelling on collided with a Nissan Urvan bus, killing the driver instantly.
ClassFMonline.com has gathered that the first Vice Chair of the NPP in the Eastern Region, Joseph Ameyaw, who was also involved in the accident, is in critical condition at the Koforidua Central Hospital.
