The Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) on Tuesday April 18 invited the Chief Executive Officer of Engineers and Planners, Ibrahim Mahama, and subjected him to questioning for several hours.
The brother of former President John Dramani Mahama received the invitation on Thursday April 13 and reported Tuesday morning but was still being interrogated late Tuesday afternoon.
According to ClassFMonline.com sources, Mr Mahama was invited to answer questions over some dud cheques he issued to the customs division of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) at the Tema Port to clear some heavy duty equipment he had imported.
It has also been gathered that some Minority MPs, including Ningo Prampram’s Samuel Nartey George, have moved to the premises of EOCO upon hearing that the businessman had been invited there.
