Nigerian musician 2Baba formerly known as 2face Idibia has urged Ghanaians to go out in their numbers to vote for their preferred candidate in a peaceful manner in the 7 December parliamentary and presidential election.
With pockets of violence witnessed across the country ahead of the elections, the African Queen hit maker in an interview with DJ Premier on Entertainment Capital on Accra100.5FM on Saturday December 3, said elections do not mean war.
“I want to tell my Ghanaian fans to go out and vote. Choose your candidate peacefully and respect everybody’s choice. [There should be] no violence, election is not war, Africans need to stand up,” he stated.
Another Nigerian artiste, Kcee, has advised Ghanaians against selling their votes ahead of the election.
Speaking on the same show, Kcee known for his hit song Limpopo said: “God is going to be with Ghanaians, make sure you vote for the right and the best person to take Ghana forward and to the next level. All you need to do is make sure you don’t sell your vote, make sure you vote for the right person, make sure you follow your instincts, no violence no fighting, let your vote speak for you.”
